These courses were completed within my internship year, in which I student taught for two semesters within Utica Public Schools. These courses helped to prepare me to be engaged in the work of becoming a teacher during my student teaching, putting it all together in an actual supervised and mentored practice.

CEP 810 - Teaching Understanding with Technology
with N. Ayers and J. Spicer
This course focused on improving teaching through the use of technology. This course focused on two main ideas: the effective use of technology in education, and learning issues related to technology use.

CEP 811 - Adapting Innovative Technology to Education
with J. Spicer and S. Wright
Within this course, the focus was on learning to apply instructional principals and methods to educational problems. The course focused on two main ideas: to develop individualized media and computer applications for use in a professional setting, and to adapt advanced software options to promote learning.

CEP 812 - Applying Education Technology to Practice
with N. Ayers, J. Spicer, and L. Wolf
Within this course, the focus was on defining, implementing, and evaluating technology-based solutions to educational problems and opportunities in school settings.

MAET Summer Cohort consisted of the following course:

I took these three class as a summer hybrid where I was on campus for two weeks and online for four weeks following the stay! It was the most rewarding experience and I would recommend it to anyone! I found it so valuable to be working with your colleagues in class with each other and learning from the wealth of knowledge of everyone within these classes. These three classes all focused on applying technologies within the classroom that you may not typically think as educational and finding a way to make them be used for educational purposes. We also covered much theory and learning behaviorisms within all of this technology applications.
Fall 2012
CEP 820 - Teaching K-12 Students Online
with M. Schira Hagerman, A. Heintz, and S. Leahy
This course focused on ways in which teacher and students can broadcast their ideas and information to the outside world for purposes of collaboration and communication. This course allows for introduction and applications of many online learning management systems, in the process of creating an online environment within your class.
CEP 807 - Capstone Portfolio -Proseminar in Educational Technology
with J. Rosenberg, A. Zellner, and M. Koehler
This course focused on allowing me the opportunity to showcase the work of the masters program that I am completing through Michigan State University. With the creation of my portfolio, technology showcase, and essays throughout, I am able to demonstrate my uses of technology within an educational setting and incorporations that I will make within my classrooms and every day teaching.
